CF Dance Class Policies & Parent Agreement Welcome to CF Dance!

We’re delighted to dance with you. These friendly-but-clear policies help us keep classes safe, fun and well organised. Please read them carefully and keep a copy for your records.

Bookings & Payments

• All bookings are made online via our booking system.

• Classes are sold in monthly blocks and must be paid in advance to secure your place.

• Places are limited; bookings are confirmed only once payment is received.

• Fees are non-transferable and non-refundable except as set out below.

• We do not offer refunds or credits for non attendance, holidays or illness (see cancellations).

Cancellations, Credits & Make ups

• If CF Dance cancels a class (e.g., teacher illness, venue issue), we will arrange a replacement session or provide a credit/refund for that class.

• If you withdraw before a block begins, we may offer a refund at our discretion (an admin fee may apply).

• Once a block has started, fees are non refundable. In exceptional circumstances, please contact us and we will consider a partial credit at our discretion.

• We cannot guarantee make up classes due to capacity limits, but we will try to offer an alternative where possible if notice has been given.

Attendance & Behaviour

• Please arrive on time; warm ups are important for safety.

• Respectful behaviour is expected towards teachers and classmates at all times.

• CF Dance reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe or persistently disruptive, without refund.

Health, Safety & Medical

• Parents/guardians must inform us of any medical conditions, injuries or allergies that may affect participation and update us of changes.

• Dance is a physical activity; participation is at your own risk. We take every reasonable precaution but cannot accept responsibility for accidental injury or loss that is not due to our negligence.

• Appropriate clothing and non slip footwear should be worn; long hair tied back. Bring water in a sealed bottle.

Child Safeguarding

• All staff follow safeguarding procedures and hold appropriate checks (e.g., DBS/Disclosure Scotland as applicable).

• Children must be dropped off and collected promptly by a responsible adult at the designated point.

• Students remain the responsibility of their parent/guardian outside of class times.

Photography, Video & Social Media

• We may occasionally take photos/video for teaching or promotional purposes (website/social media).

• We will always obtain consent before using identifiable images of children. If you prefer no images are used, please inform us in writing when booking. Communication

• We share important updates (cancellations, changes) by email or text. Please keep your contact details up to date.

• For queries, please speak to the teacher after class or email us—safety first, so teachers cannot chat during teaching time.

Data Protection (UK GDPR)

• We collect only the data needed to manage bookings, ensure safety and communicate with you.

• Your data is stored securely and never shared with third parties for marketing.

• You can request access, correction or deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements). Timetable, Teachers & Venue Changes

• Timetables, teachers and venues may change. We’ll give as much notice as possible and will honour credits/refunds where a change prevents attendance. Uniform, Valuables & Personal Items

• Please label belongings; CF Dance cannot accept responsibility for lost items.

• No chewing gum; jewellery should be removed or taped for safety. Late Payments

• Unpaid bookings may be released to the waiting list. Continued non payment may result in suspension from class until the account is settled.

Trials & Taster Sessions

• Where available, trial classes are payable in advance and subject to space. Booking a full block confirms your ongoing place for that period.

Complaints

• We aim to resolve any concern quickly and fairly. Please email Carly in the first instance. We’ll acknowledge your message and respond with next steps.

Agreement & Consent

• By booking with CF Dance you confirm that you have read and agree to these policies, that the participant is fit to take part, and that you will keep medical and contact details up to date.
